Movement Automation System (MAS) PDF Print E-mail

What is it?

The Movement Automation System selects, operates and monitors product movements. The main functions of MAS consist of:

  • Graphical configuration of plant topology
  • Line-up selection
  • Equipment operation (open/close valves, start/stop pumps, etc.)
  • Movement calculations (volume/weight moved, time calculations, etc.)
  • Movement monitoring (equipment status, movement target, etc.)
  • Integrates fully in the off-sites application suite

MAS is fully configurable. Rather then entering large amounts of line-ups in a relational database MAS has a configurator where the plant topology is drawn graphically. Line-up selection is done using this topology directly. This makes the system very well maintainable.

Operator view

The operator will use a combination of existing process graphics and MAS windows to operate movements. The MAS windows will run on virtually any platform due to our platform independent strategy.
