Improving the refinery operation is a continuous process where potential improvements need validation on their feasibility and their profitability.

Final decision for realization is taken based on the relative ranking for a project in relation to others using the following criteria:

  • The operational requirement related to safety, environment and legal
  • The available investment capital and its Return On Investment prospective
  • Are resources available in the organization to execute the project
  • Other management criteria
