| Start up of Romanian turn key in-line blending project |

For Rompetrol Petromidia Refinery Romania an automated In-line Blending system was installed recently. Since the system is installed by the Off-Sites group of Invensys, partnering with Chicago based FMC, the quality give-away has reduced dramatically, with no additional re-blends. The project is co-financed by the Worldbank and is unique in Romania. The Turn-Key start-up ceremony was held in presence of the American Ambassador of Romania. The project was praised for the delivery in time and on schedule. Environmental - and financial benefits were highlighted as a result of the optimized blend methodology of the installed Off-sites suite. Invensys delivered and commissioned a Blending Optimization Software Suite (BOSS) with Tank Farm (TIS) - and laboratory interface (LIMS), utilizing NIR analyzing technology for on-line blend control. Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) are now remotely monitored by the Invensys Team to ensure consistency in the accuracy and to highlight possible threats. Extensive training by Invensys left a confident and motivated group of Rompetrol personnel, ready to go!  |
