Standard DBS 3.1 Released

BOSS is available independent from any hardware platform and can be connected to any DCS system or integrated with any planning and scheduling system due to our our platform independent development strategy.

For customers who do operate on a Foxboro I/A DCS system, we provide for a Digital Blender System (DBS). This is a Foxboro I/A DCS solution.  The DBS provides for blend monitoring and control on DCS level. The DBS enables production of finished products by either operator-entered recipe or by a calculated recipe supplied by BOSS.  

The IOM Advanced Application Group has introduced a release procedure for the Off-Site Suite application some time ago. This includes BOSS. This summer we released the new standandized DBS version 3.0. As a consequence, the DBS is now being submitted to the same procedures, so that DBS users experience similar benefits.

The standard DBS provides for:

• Standard applied functionality. These functionalities are applied by all our customers. These functionalities will be configured per default;
• Commonly applied functionality. These functionalities are either a must-have or a most-certainly-do-not-require for our customers. These functionalities are optional;
• Less commonly applied functionality. These functionalities are applied by only a few customers. These functionalities are considered as special configuration.

Today we released DBS revision 3.1. It is an optimized version of the 3.0 release of this summer.
